Social Networks - Guidelines

We all like to talk about football, whether it’s on the pitch, on the sidelines or in the car on the way home.

Social media is another way for people to have a conversation about football. Social networks can be an incredibly useful way for our club to communicate if it’s used in the right way.

However as a club we and yourselves as Club Members including parents and indeed players with access to social networks need to be aware of the pitfalls of using social media.

We encourage all at the club to read through The FA’s Best practice guidelines to ensure all club members are safeguarded and The FA Rules and Regulations are not broken.

Both individuals and grassroots clubs were charged last season by the F.A. for bringing the game into disrepute when offensive comments were posted on Twitter, Facebook and/or their own websites.

Below are a selection of documents provided by the F.A. that we would like everyone at our club to read, thank you.
